چکیده

In this paper, we study (random) sequences of pseudo s-th powers, as introduced by Erdős and Rényi in 1960. In 1975, Goguel proved that such a sequence is almost surely not an asymptotic basis of order s. Our first result asserts that it is however almost surely a basis of order s + for any > 0. We then study the s-fold sumset sA = A+ · · · +A (s times) and in particular the minimal size of an additive complement, that is a set B such that sA+B contains all large enough integers. With respect to this problem, we prove quite precise theorems which are tantamount to asserting that a threshold phenomenon occurs.

Distinguishing number and distinguishing index of natural and fractional powers of graphs

‎The distinguishing number (resp. index) $D(G)$ ($D'(G)$) of a graph $G$ is the least integer $d$‎ ‎such that $G$ has an vertex labeling (resp. edge labeling) with $d$ labels that is preserved only by a trivial‎ ‎automorphism‎. ‎For any $n in mathbb{N}$‎, ‎the $n$-subdivision of $G$ is a simple graph $G^{frac{1}{n}}$ which is constructed by replacing each edge of $G$ with a path of length $n$...

FPGA Implementation of Pseudo Noise Sequences based on Quadratic Residue Theory

Pseudo Noise (PN) sequences are defined as a sequence of 1’s and 0’s which have randomness properties that make it appear noise-like but are generated by mathematical algorithms. PN sequences that are generated by shift registers such as M-sequences, Gold sequences are known and widely used since the 1960’s for various applications. These sequences are periodic and the periodicity is always in ...

Results of the Chebyshev type inequality for Pseudo-integral

In this paper, some results of the Chebyshev type integral inequality for the pseudo-integral are proven. The obtained results, are related to the measure of a level set of the maximum and the sum of two non-negative integrable functions. Finally, we applied our results  to the case of comonotone functions.

Time-Hopping Correlation Property and Its Effects on THSS-UWB System

Ultra wideband (UWB) is a promising technology for short-range wireless communications since it potentially combines the reduced complexity with low power consumption, low probability of detection/intercept (LPD/LPI) and immunity to multipath fading (Scholtz, 1993; Win & Scholtz, 1998; Win & Scholtz, 2000). The successful development of UWB technology strongly depends on the advancement of effi...
